Over the past week, due to rising demand for gas and increased oil costs, gas prices across the country have taken a slight rise. On March 31, the average price per gallon of gas in the US was $3.501 just a few cents higher than prices a week ago. Despite this rise, the average price per gallon today is still over 70 cents per gallon cheaper than prices a year ago.
Here in Arizona, the average price per gallon of gas is $4.286, about 9 cents per gallon more expensive than last week. Still, prices across the state remain 40 cents per gallon less expensive than last year.
